Muscle Pain Vs. Norgesic Forte
I was fearful of the change from cyclobenzaprine to Norgesic Forte. Now that I’ve made the change, I’m very hopeful. Within 24 hours all the pain in my calve muscles were gone. All the pain in my face and most my shoulder pain is gone as well.
I’ve been dealing with pain in these areas since my teens. Lupus could be the cause, diabetes can be part of the muscle pain as well. Now, I have diagnosed myself with Scleroderma and that is even more likely to be related to my muscle pain. I’ll get a second opinion from my doctor next month. :)
I still have some concerns. Will it continue to work this well and its loaded full of aspirin. One pill contains two full strength aspirins at 650Mg per tablet. The other concern is the caffeine. I took cyclobenzaprine, in part, because it helped me sleep. Norgesic Forte has 30Mg of coffee. That’s a little less than eight ounces of a Coke. So its not a huge dose but caffeine and I have never gotten along very well. Even as I type this, I’m feeling a little jittery.
I’ve read that most take 3 to 4 tablets a day in the US. My Filipino doctor told me to take only two. Since the pain in my calves has returned a little bit, I’m going to increase it to three times a day. I’m also cutting out the one aspirin a day that I was taking to thin my blood as it is already contained in the Norgesic Forte and at six times the dose.
The drug appears fairly safe. I take so many things though adding anything else is always a bad idea. My muscle cramps really hurt though, I need help with it. I’m trying to cut back on the cokes I drink. I average about one and a half per day. I’m trying to cut that back to one-half a day, that is of a 2 liter. Sometimes I have them because I’m hungry!
I have to eat more fish and far less bread. My weight has gone back up and I’ve regained the 20 pounds I lost in my first few months here. I couldn’t afford to eat those first few months. lol
Not have I only stopped taking my knockout medication, now I’m getting even more caffeine. That’s the main reason I’m not going to take four a day. That much aspirin is a bit scary too though. So far, I’ve needed extra xanax in order to sleep. I suppose, I could just stay awake until I’m ready to sleep. When I do that, I tend to stay up for 24 hours at times or longer. Then I feel awful for a few days. I don’t want to do that but it may be the only way. I also don’t want to take even more xanax.
I’m about to go look for a FREE online drug interaction website. If you know of one, please put it in a comment for me. In the Philippines, one doesn’t have to have a prescription to obtain most drugs. For now, prescribing for myself has one way as I have almost no muscle pain.

Hi Rusty
Last year in 2008 I used this unortodox inhaling method, and only once this year so far, to prevent me from getting the flue… IT WORKS, no flue if inhaled right on time before the bacteria reaches the lungs.
I thought it could help you as well.

this drug I’m taking really knocked out my muscle pain. there is some tightness and my bicep has been soar since I started using it, which is really odd.
There is tightness in my calve muscles but the pain is gone. I’ve been in nearly mild but constant pain for the last five years. The only way i could stop it was to take a lot of flexeril over several days and then be zombied out. People use to take that in the 60′s and call it mellow yellow, I don’t get that. That drug doesn’t make you feel good. It makes you feel like crap if you don’t sleep.
I found this news early this morning… http://www.marketwatch.com/story/human-genome-boosts-biotech-benchmark-index?tool=1&dist=bigcharts
PS. Your site became awfully slow lately since you reorganized it. Any solutions on the horizon?
No doubt now the reflexology I’ve been getting is helping my legs!
Man my legs hurt. Since I’m still taking Benadryl on a regular basis I can’t take Norgesic. I probably don’t need to be taking either. :)
Calve muscles have hurt since I was 16 but back then they mostly just cramped up in the middle of the night. That stopped, for the most part, in my thirties, and it was replaced with nearly constant pain. Not horrible pain but you know, any pain that just goes and goes and goes gets very tiring with time.
