Here is a very interesting article. Frank Laubach was left out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_mystic.
I had a lot of problems with this “mystic” at first but those have been resolved for me now.
Remember how when we were children how our spirit jumped with joy at the sight of a magic show? Now older, we know that was all an illusions.
Am I mistaken on this word magic? I’d love to hear comments and correction if needed.
But there is real magic, it would be wonderful to approach God with that same sense of excitement we did with the magician. With God it is not an illusion but the power of God is magical.
We can tap into that power. You can. The illusionist must train. God doesn’t need to train but we do if we want to capture that excitement again.
Some would tell you faith can bring you nothing but good times, a life without troubles, faith can even bring you a new car. God never promised us a rose garden, nor does he promise a thorn. Life happens and chances are you’ll have good times and you’ll have times that break your heart. I don’t think God sends this pain. However, the world can be a better place by tapping into the magic of Christ.
I welcome your comments, challenges, and corrections. I hope you will comment.
