Bantayan Island Photographs
Most of the readers here also visit my site where I journal my life while living in Cebu. I posted some pictures on my Cebu Experience site a few days ago for everyone to see what I’ve been talking about. I will be posting more detailed pictures about my experience there as well. I also posted my pictures for the month of February on this site. Those pictures were posted at this link.
Last month was a busy month with trips to Cebu City, Virgin Beach Resort and Bantayan Island. Along with a renewed dedication to getting my exercise accomplished
so there are lots of pictures. I can’t find time to get them all posted and journalized.
I just got back from a walk and a lady tried to sell me a goat. If I hadn’t been so stunned I would have asked her how much and went to see the critter. :) I told Jessie, I wish I had bought it. Well that would depend on the price. Probably more than I was willing to pay for it. Jessie, couldn’t understand it and I told her imagine the great story it would make. Go to the local post office and come home with a goat.
Goat meat in the USA was very good but I don’t think I’m up to skinning and cooking one now. Those days are over, I can’t even comprehend doing something like that. I guess I’ve gotten soft in my “old age.” Still it would have made for a great story.
Its been a long long time since I ate goat. The whole scene is just outrageous to me! I hope I see her again. Never know what I’m going to experience while walking in Cebu.

I don’t know how I missed this one Rusty. When I was in Davao City during January, we rented a house in a 9 or 10 door compound. The day after I arrived, they brought in a goat and tied to the wall below my bedroom window. When I asked they just smiled and said for fiesta next day to celebrate the completion of new door. ( room )
Be glad you did not bring home. cried all night long. That is until about 6: AM. By time time I got downstairs it laying next to my house bleeding into the drain that runs under my door. Now later I was sitting at my table about 6 feet from where two guys spent 2 hours scraping hair off of this goat. They was nothing as they make fried goat rinds out of skin. What a wonderful experience except goats cry like a baby and I was up twice checking on 2 year daughter of Joseys. We out of bed then I could tell where sounds were coming from.
I think you also missed the site the story your posting about is on. :) Its on another site. The Goat buying trip to city hall? Well the lady offered to sell me one. Jessie said it night not even be hers!
I wouldn’t buy a goat but it was fun to think about and points out how different things are here. I don’t know, its been a while since I’ve been to small town Mississippi. I think it could still happen there too.
