Just a quick know to let people know why I’ve not answered questions for the last couple of days. I just got back from Bantayan Island. I’m pretty worn out.
I had a wonderful time and have about 200 pictures. We visited a mangrove jungle, a fort built by the Japanese during WWII and a church that was built in 1580. We ate on a floating bar and of course there was white sand beach after white sand beach.
We visited a resort with several beautiful birds. One parrot decided he was in love with me. Unfortunately, the birds were not for sale. Jessie wants to stay there next time. I will likely giver her what she likes.
This time we stayed at Tickety Boo Resort. A nice place with strong pluses and a few mostly minor issues.
I hope I will be up to writing tomorrow. I sure will try.

we do enjoy your pictures and hope to see them all soon,It was snowy here the last couple of days so it good to see the scenes from the beach. awh the dreams.
Hey Don!
Thanks for the kind words on the Pictures
Are you the same Don that I’ve been talking to private some? You tried to call me once? I don’t remember the M. :)
They will be as soon as i can get them up. I have over 400 to process right now! Kind of a staggering number. :) I even have a lot of pictures I intended to write about taken before these that I plan to write about on CEX.
Right now I’m behind on replying to comments trying to get caught up on that.
this may sound stupid, but i would like to try to ask from you. Do u have any idea where i could possibly get some list of resorts in bantayan. Actually, i have a some already. it seems that most resorts are already fullybooked this coming holyweek.. do u have any contact number in Sugar beach? or where else i could find a resort that allows to pitch tents.thanks
It doesn’t sound stupid Perl. I think a tent is your only hope! And that hope will be limited to a public beach that’s not owned by a resort. That would be Kotak Park in Madridejos. I doubt they have a phone number though.
If you’re really wanting to participate in Holy Week on Bantayan Island, as I do, you’ll probably need to get a room in Bogo City, or perhaps San Remigio and take a boat over every day.
Beach Placid Resort offers tent area, its probably full too but here are their contact numbers: Contact Beach Placid land line: +63-32-516-3799 or mobile +63-917-723-9264 or 917-722-2993.
Thank you for the information. we might stay in Placid a night and hop for other resorts the next days.. and maybe have a chance also to stay in Bogo before going back to my place here in Leyte.
Bogo is a small growing “city” but its just situated in a great spot for going to the other places. It seems to be growing rather quickly. I love it here but I’m a homebody. I don’t party a lot. I know others that did party a lot, they just brought the party to their house. The same house I’m now living in but I’ve got kids and maids so I’m not so much into even bringing the party home. I probably would be but its just not a good idea. :)
