Humpty Dumpty Had a Great Fall

And so did I.  Returning home after a trip down to the BBQ at the Bay I was headed into an Internet cafe to try to download my recent pictures off the Rusty in The PhilippinesCD to a computer.  I stepped across the ditch and lost my footing.  It has been drizzling tonight and my shoes were slick.  To bad I didn’t know that until I was on the ground.

I had a flash light in my hand that probably broke a good bit of my fall.  We wont be using that again as the switch is busted.  I couldn’t turn it off after I fell.  I heard it hit the concert hard.  The flashlight is a combination stun gun, alarm and flash light.  The switch is on the opposite end of the light bulb and recessed but it still managed to jam it into the handle.  One of the electricl probs at the other end is also missing now.

I guess I got lucky that I didn’t get badly hurt.  My arm is sore as the flashlight was the first thing to hit and appears to have absorbed some of the impact.  My shoulders and neck hurt and I came down pretty hard on my right knee.  Broke the skin a bit despite having jeans on.

I’m probably going to be very sore tomorrow, but maybe i’ll be surprised.  Since I’m already sore, I doubt it.

On top of that, the Internet Cafe was full so I was unable to get my latest pictures.  I don’t know if the CD I have has gone bad or its more problems with Jessie’s PC.  I think its problems with the PC since it is having problems with multiple CDs.  I think it is a conflict of some type.  If spent significant time trying to resolve it but so far, it looks like it is going to take a re-install of her operating system.  I wish we could just install Linux on it but I need Adobe Light Room for my pictures and must use Microsoft Windows for that.

Well, it is almost midnight.  I think I’ll go see my friends on Facebook and call it a night.   I’m trying to write an article on all four of my major sites now but only made it to three today.  These technical difficulties with my camera are eating up a lot of time, well that and the nap I took this afternoon.

Jessie is a bit upset.  Almost two years ago, her aunt fell and it ended up killing her.  Jessie kept asking if my heart was okay because her aunt had a heart attack either when she fell or sometime before that.  The doctors didn’t know.  She had another one a couple weeks later after the fall.   When she fell she split her arm open and it became infected.  Badly infected and likely led to her fatal heart attack with Jessie at her bedside.  I’m not concerned about that but it does remind one just how fleeting life can be.
