Tailor Made Clothes In The Philippines

I have had a fruitful three days.  A couple of days ago went to the dress maker to get another shirt made.    I think I’ll get yet another this week.  Festival is coming to Bogo Town and they told us they wouldn’t be taking any more orders after the 22nd.  I wanted to get two more made next month but I suppose I’ll just have to do one more this month.

Pets In The Philippines

Jason Cautiously Playing with Juliet

Yesterday, Jessie and I went on a long walk, 2.2 miles with Juliet, my Philippine Monkey.  it seemed to really pick her spirits up.  Being so confined, I think she gets bored out of her mind.  But that’s going to be better for her now.  Her big cage came in today.  Its not exactly what I ordered but seems what I ordered didn’t get ordered.  I’m quite concerned how I’m going to get her out of it.  I’m afraid she will end up getting away but I will do my best to make sure that doesn’t happen.  I was expecting a cage that I could get into but I didn’t get that.  The door is not big enough and I don’t think its strong enough.  Its also at least a foot shorter than what I expected.   The welder didn’t get clear instructions.  Hard for me to communicate because I can’t speak the language.  Its a nice cage otherwise.  My only concern is getting her out.

Bonsai Tree

The same day we ordered the shirt, we walked up the hill to visit with the bonsai master.  Jessie got another bonsai tree so now we have five.  I think he’s going to give her a crab apple bonsai as well which is very cool indeed.  He told Jessie he just cuts a limb off a tree and it grows!  I’ve done that millions of times when I was a kid, but only one grew and we pulled that up to check to see if it was really growing.  It was and it died as a result of my curiosity.

Day to Day Expat Style Living

Walked about a mile and  half that day but with all the stops, my pedometer didn’t register any aerobic time.  I got lots though because he lives on a big hill or you might say a small mountain.  Sure feels like a mountain when I walk up it.  Jessie commented it is much easier coming down.  The two prior days were very hot.  Today is not so bad but the humidity is higher.  Its down to 28C at 6:30 that’s really cool compared to what it has been. That would be about 80F but remember the humidity is probably around 75%!

I also walked about 1.5 miles today with about 36 minutes aerobic time registered by my pedometer.  It really isn’t a good estimate of aerobic time because it doesn’t measure hills.  If I stop to take a picture, it might stop counting the aerobic time but I don’t stop sweating and my heart is still pounding.

I think that is the major events of the last couple of days, well if you could call them major.  Oh yeah, I did get a new camera.  It takes much clearer and detailed pictures.  I’m way behind in my picture posting.  Its hard to get out there and be active to find pictures to take and then also have time to get them on the site!

Life is good!  I’m still holding off the 10 pounds plus added one so down 11.  I haven’t changed that much and it just started coming off.  That’s the way I always do.  I had a hard time staying awake today. I nearly talked myself out of walking but then forced it and glad I did.  Still a little sleepy though.
