I’m 100% Southern and consider that to be a good thing. I’m sorry for the people that don’t understand.

I grew up in Jackson, Mississippi where I went to Jim Hill High School and Millsaps College. I worked several jobs while going to college but most often could be found behind the counter at good old “Speed-E Food.” One of the most fun jobs I ever had, because of the people that lived in South Jackson.

After college, I went to work for the IRS as a Revenue Agent. I loved it and I was good at it but my health fell apart. I had to take a position of as a Functional Automation Coordinator, which was fancy Government speak for Computer Analyst.

I finally came to my senses. Decided working wasn’t a good idea for me and applied for disability. It was granted. As soon as I was shed of my responsibilities in the states, I flew to the Philippines to find out what was out there.

What I found here has been awesome, its not perfect here but I have much more of a life here than I could have in the USA. It is just too costly to live in the US for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love the USA. I miss it too. I wonder what it will feel like when I get back.

I am also on diet. I have to loose 12kg and I decided to go on a sugarless high proteins diet. That means not absorbing more than 1200 cal. per day for the next 8-10 weeks.
    I am a big guy, 1,88m (6′-2″) 98kg.
I have been on a diet before but this time it will be mostly fish diet.
I noticed that if I eat one mackerel per day

plus say two eggs and some fruits I could achieve my goal without being too hungry.
Since I started a week ago, I am already off 1kg on my way to a total of 12.

P.S. Rusty, is it possible to up-load images here?

The doctors keep testing me for thyroid because I am always so tired but those tests always come back normal. But, no matter how many iron pills I take, my iron level is extremely, extremely low and they can find no reason for that. Any thoughts?

I always tell our doctor that he has to give my money back when he tells me that it’s a virus, there is nothing to do for it, etc. I don’t think I should have to pay for nothing. I guess you are paying for the luxury of knowing it’s just a virus.

Hey Rusty, I read that you are on disability. Is that so. I’m on social security disability and get my meds from the VA. Do you know where I could get my meds from there. Isn’t there a VA hospital there in Manila? If so I think I could get my meds mailed to me in Bogo City where I’m planning to move to soon. I have a gf there I’ve been chatting with every day for 2 months now. Actually I’ve been planning to move there somewhere for several years now. I’ve been through several online gf’s but I think this one in Bogo is the one. I hope we can meet once I get there. Take care, Jerry
