Found a picture from long ago and thought I’d put it here. It was taken by my very sexy girlfriend and she was only 16 years old. About 16 and going to college!

I had bought a 35mm camera, wasn’t even SLR but it was mine and I could have some fun with it. I took as many pictures as I could but I could barely afford to get the film developed.
The camera was bought used and had a bug inside of it that died there before I got it. It took nice pictures and I used it to learn about composition. I hope.

I’m 100% Southern and consider that to be a good thing. I’m sorry for the people that don’t understand.
I grew up in Jackson, Mississippi where I went to Jim Hill High School and Millsaps College. I worked several jobs while going to college but most often could be found behind the counter at good old “Speed-E Food.” One of the most fun jobs I ever had, because of the people that lived in South Jackson.
After college, I went to work for the IRS as a Revenue Agent. I loved it and I was good at it but my health fell apart. I had to take a position of as a Functional Automation Coordinator, which was fancy Government speak for Computer Analyst.
I finally came to my senses. Decided working wasn’t a good idea for me and applied for disability. It was granted. As soon as I was shed of my responsibilities in the states, I flew to the Philippines to find out what was out there.
What I found here has been awesome, its not perfect here but I have much more of a life here than I could have in the USA. It is just too costly to live in the US for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love the USA. I miss it too. I wonder what it will feel like when I get back.
