Pictures of The Philippines
I had a busy month during February with lots of photo opportunities. . Traveled to Cebu City, visited Virgin Beach Resort, and had a wonderful restful visit to Bantayan Island. I hopped on a motor scooter and survived, not much a feat for many but it was for me!
I’ve got about 300 pictures shot during the month. About half were taken at Bantayan Island. I will be featuring those on my CebuExperience site and providing narrative about them as well.
This months gallery also includes pictures of Santo Nino Cathedral in Cebu City and the nearby Magellan’s Cross that includes the actual cross that Magellan planted in Cebu more than 500 years ago.

I will continue to explore the Philippines and hopefuly more than Bogo City alone. I hope I’ll get to spend a couple of nights on Bantayan Island this month and Valencia or Apo Island next month.

Rusty i just got done viewing some of your photos from Cebu and Batanyan Island.My wife is from Mambaling Cebu.I was there in nov. 2005 and i’ve missed it every since.My wife and i plan to move there when my 2 daughters are in college. They have lived with me since there mother left many years ago.Just thought i would drop you as line and say thanks for your site it great yours and Mindanao Bobs. Steve

Yea having children at all makes it hard to come here. Having them in high school makes it next to impossible unless your really wealthy and live in Manila. I’ve learned there is an international school in Manila. I don’t know what it cost. I’ve been told by an old high school friend that teaches in Indonesia that it is good, which means it pays its teachers well. So probably expensive.
