Not long ago I saw a program on the Discovery Channel about the medical marijuana business. There are some enterprising folks jumping into this right now. Technically it is against federal law. The Bush administration was closing down shops and arresting people. Obama put an end to that quickly after coming to office.

That got me to thinking about stoners voting. They could be a deciding factor in the next presidential elections!medical marijuana and the election I can’t help but chuckle a bit about that. If a Republican gets elected there is a good chance the arrest and seizures will start again. Though medical marijuana is now legal in 16 states according to the documentary I saw on the Discovery Channel. So much for less government the Republicans say they are all about.

That is the biggest lie the Republicans have been telling and they’ve been doing it for a long time. The Republicans are for less government when it comes top protecting people from big businesses. I’m talking about the leaders of the Republican party. Not Joe Six Pack. And that’s what Obama was referring to when he said something like the Republicans or against clean water and air. They want to put an oil pipeline across the center of our country. Just take a look at what the pipeline in Alaska has done to the surrounding area. Those things leak!

I am amused though that those stoners that do actually vote should take their herb into account when they vote. In the south, I’m not so sure they will. In California, I think it could be a major factor. I don’t know if a Republican would start the seizures and arrests all over again but it is likely. I don’t know when people are going to wake up and understand that the Republicans are far more likely to rule over your personal life. They know what is best for you and you should live like the Republican leaders.

Just for the record, I’m not a stoner but if I lived in the USA in a state where I could medical marijuana was legal, you could bet I’d have a prescription. I don’t, I live in the Philippines where a small amount of it can get you six years in prison. Its not an issue for me at all. If it is for you though, you should keep this in mind when you visit the polls this year.
