Robert Gates to Remain in Charge of Defense
Okay so we don’t call it that any more. It is now Department of Defense that sounds so much more peaceful. Really it does and perhaps a better name but here lately it seems to be Department of War would have been a better name. That’s the way the world sees us. They see us as the aggressor. Like it or not, that is the case.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Republican Robert Gates will stay on as Secretary of Defense. Well that is certainly reaching across the isle! The Huffington Post is not likely to be happy about it but I sure am.

Obama or Clinton Administration?
Ii can almost hear the rumblings of the conspiracy theorist, someone I’m sure is already claiming that William Clinton and Barack Obama had a secret backroom deal to make Obama the face of the president while Bill runs things in the background. No I am not saying that myself but some will likely be saying it.

On Friday morning, the stock market was again headed downward. Shortly after Timothy Geithner was leaked as Obama’s probable pick for the Secretary of Treasury cabinet post, the stock market made a made a strong rally.
