America Lives Up To its Dream

His acceptance speech sent chills all over my body. It was an awesome moment and a black man will be presidents in two months should every thing go safely. I’m sure the security around this man has been ramped up to extraordinary at this point.

The Klan and the Nazi have been blunted but they are still active. When I left Jackson Ms nearly 30 years ago the KKK was often in the middle of the streets collecting money. I hated seeing that. I suspect that doesn’t still go on. I hope not. With that said, they have the right to protest, speak or anything else that others have the right to do. As long as it does not instigate violence.

Obama Wins!

It is about 1pm in the central USA and it is 1am here in the Philippines. I’m already typing that Obama will win. I don’t think it is going to be close and I think McCain knows it. Its been quite a fight and though it was a Saturday Night Live satire when McCain’s argued Obama has time, its my turn now. He can run later. That was funny but it is one of the most tugging reasons to vote for him. (Saturday Night Live or SNL is a long running and extremely popular comedy tv show in the USA that often includes political satire.) I always thought I would vote for McCain if given the chance and I’m not really a democrat but I’m certainly no republican. I never imagined a Barack Obama and I never imagined a John McCain preforming the way he did in this race.

Eight years ago, McCain inspired me but he lost. This time around, he left the high road and who can blame him? That road had been a dead end. The Bush campaign smeared McCain by claiming he had mental health issues. It was all rumor and no one has proved it was the Bush campaign that started the smear. It is a well known marketing method. The method was taught in my college marketing classes. I can’t say that it was taught in a way that condoned it but it was taught in a way that showed the tactic to highly productive.

Found this video, many are calling one brave redneck. Now I hesitate to call the guy a redneck. He appears to be from the south, he’s got a rebel flag tattooed on his arm and he’s got a camo NASCAR hat on. I’m sure he’s a guy I would like to hang out with. But redneck in the strongest form of the word, the condescending form of the word would never support Obama. The redneck term used as someone that talks similar to his style, dresses in his style, and nothing condescending about it, yea he qualifies for that.
