Christmas, New Years and I

Living In Cebu, Philippines

Things are still going great. Still having the time of my life. I feel pretty good, except in the mornings of course. I’ve been walking a bit more at night rather than the day to avoid the sun. Jessie and a friend have been pointing out some cities in Luzon and Mindanao that are in the mountains and the temperatures are much nicer. I’d hate to leave Bogo City but those cooler temperatures sure sound nice to me and the pictures I’ve seen of the places are awesome.

Landlord Issues

This morning our landlord dropped by unannounced. i hate it when people do that. i didn’t talk to her but she is wanting us to move. But then she called. She doesn’t listen at all. I’m pretty sick of her, so I am going to move if possible. I just cannot work with anyone that doesn’t listen. She’s rich upper class here and she acts as if she knows all.

Computer Repairs and Wild Blood Sugar Ride

Blood Sugar High, Then Blood Sugar Low

This morning, I was feeling bad so I took my blood sugar and it was over 350. What the heck? Where did that come from? Since I have been taking lower doses of my oral meds than what was prescribed, I took some of the missed dosages for today. Just two pills. A few hours later I thought i had drank too much caffeine and was going for some xanax only to realize that it wasn’t nerves, my sugar was bad, really bad. It was at 60 which isn’t horrible but it felt horrible and considering the amount of sugar I had to take in to get it back up to only 93 it was a major crash. I just got on it quickly. So it went from 350+ to 60 in about six hours. I didn’t walk before the blood sugar crash either.

Jessie is Sick

Jessie is sick and we don’t have any antibiotic not even a thermometer. I hadn’t thought about getting a thermometer but we need one with two kids here. You can get a antibiotic here without going to the doctor. I recently found out you can get anything without going to a doctor as long as it is not a controlled drug. I wish I had known that before spending $500 to send meds over here, that included the cost of the meds, after insurance of course.
